Fred Day has compiled over 30 years of coaching and officiating experience at all levels of soccer. Day’s list of accomplishments include six years as head coach of the Wheaton College (MA) Women's Varsity Soccer Program, Head Coach of Massachusetts State Select Women's Team, Head Coach Northeast Women's Bay State Games Team, over 20 years as the coach and founder of the North Shore Women's Soccer Club, and many years coaching both boys and girls at all age levels of club and youth soccer. In 2010, he began his first season as head coach of the 2010 Salem High School Varsity Girls Soccer Team, guiding them to a 10-7-2 record and a playoff bid. In 2010, he also recorded his 100th career win as a varsity girls high school coach, over an eight year period. Prior to 2010, he was the head coach of the Swampscott High School Varsity Girls Soccer Program where he compiled a record of 90-34-15, qualifying for tournament play every year and reaching the Division 2 North Finals in 2003, and semifinals in 2005. In 2003, 2006, and 2007 Day was voted NEC coach of the year by his fellow coaches. Since the summer of 2003, Fred Day, along with Cindy Lavender, has operated the hugely successful LavenderDay Summer Soccer Camp held in Swampscott.

Cindy Lavender served as head coach of the Big Blue Girls Varsity Soccer Program (1996-2001). While in the head coaching position, she earned the Lynn Item “Coach of the Year” award in 2000. After giving up her head coaching position when she had her first child, she later served as the SHS Varsity Assistant Coach. Graduate from Springfield College in 1995, Cindy Lavender was a two-year varsity soccer captain, MVP, leading goal scorer, all New England all-star, northeast-10 All Star, and Springfield College Female Scholar Athlete of the Year. She earned her Bachelor's degree in Physical Education for Springfield College, & a Masters in Education, from the University of New England. After college, she also obtained recognition as a Region 1 All Star on the Massachusetts Women’s Select Team. Cindy has been employed as a physical education teacher at Swampscott High School for the past 20 years, where she was recognized in 2008 by her colleagues as the Swampscott Education Association Educator of the Year. Cindy lavender, along with Fred day has operated the hugely successful LavenderDay Summer Soccer Camp, held in Swampscott since 2003.
